F.A.Q.

  • Will this change the colour of my blonde/white/grey hair?
     

    • ​No, this should not change the colour of your hair. If you are concerned, always perform a strand test first. If in doubt, only use the oil on your scalp. 
       

  • How long will this bottle last? Is there an expiration date?
    ​

    • Each bottle lasts up to 6 months, depending on usage. Unopened, it stays fresh for 24 months. Once opened, use within 12 months.
       

  • Can I use this on my brows or lashes?
     

    • Yes, but with caution. Use a patch test first. Due to essential oils, we don’t recommend it for lashes, though some have used it sparingly with no issues.​

 

  • How often can I use this?
     

    • At least once a week, or up to every other day for best results.

 

  • Help! The oil in my bottle turned semi-solid, like gel. Is it ruined?
     

    • No! Coconut oil solidifies in cooler temperatures. Warm the bottle in a bowl of hot water for 10 minutes to liquify.

 

  • Will this cause breakouts?
     

    • This natural hair oil for hair growth is formulated to be lightweight and balanced. But if you have sensitive skin, do a patch test and avoid applying directly to the hairline.

 

  • How soon will I see results in hair length or thickness?
     

    • That depends on a number of factors, including your internal health and lifestyle.  However, results have been known to happen quickly (within 4 weeks) with proper, consistent use. 

 

  • Does it need to be washed (shampooed) out after each use?
     

    • This depends on your hair type, how much oil you used, and your preferred method of hair washing.  For some scalp types, it is possible to use this lightly and not need to wash it out.  Especially if it is used lightly as a serum for your hair ends. If applying the oil more heavily as a mask, wash out after 12-24 hours. 

 

  • What should I use to wash this out of my hair? 
     

    • Use your preferred method of hair washing that is gentle and has clean ingredients (preferably).  For some, they can wash with “no-poo” ingredients such as apple cider vinegar, rhassoul clay, or raw egg and this will be sufficient.  For others, you may need to use an actual soap or shampoo.  However, this also depends on how much oil you used.  Remember less oil is more! 

 

  • Should I brush my hair before or after applying this?
     

    • If applying to hair length, gently brush and detangle first for even distribution.

 

  • Is this free of preservatives? Will it go bad? 
     

    • No preservatives. Since it’s oil-based, it lasts 12-24 months when stored in a cool, dark place and handled with clean, dry hands.

 

  • Are there returns or refunds for this hair oil?
     

    • If your hair oil arrives broken and you send us a photo of the damage, we will of course refund you the full price.  However, due to the nature of this product and the labour of love that goes into each bottle, we do not offer refunds for any other reasons.  

 

  • I am allergic to (x) ingredient in the hair growth oil.  Should I purchase this?
     

    • That is something you will have to decide for yourself - based on the severity of your allergy and keeping in mind that many of the herbal ingredients are in relatively small amounts in the hair oil recipe.  If you do decide to purchase the oil, we always recommend performing a strand and patch test first. 

 

  • Is this vegan and cruelty free?
     

    • Yes, this is vegan and cruelty free.
